Meet Our Dentists

Christopher Herbst received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from
Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. An experienced dentist, Dr.
Herbst has been in practice for nearly 10 years, having spent most of those years
living and working here in St. Louis.

He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in implant dentistry
and regularly attends classes to ensure he stays up-to-date on the latest
techniques and technologies. When he’s not at work, he and his wife enjoy
walking their dogs in Tower Grove Park and tackling home improvement
projects.

Dr. Michael Lorenz, Jr. is a St. Louis-born, second-generation dentist. Early in his career, Dr. Lorenz spent time in public health, working with an underserved population in Jefferson County, Missouri with Community Treatment, Inc. (COMTREA), and also in private practice in Chesterfield, MO. with Dr. Michael Grasso, DDS.

He was born and raised in Clarkson Valley, and is thrilled to be practicing dentistry in his hometown among fellow Cardinals and Blues fans! Dr. Lorenz and his wonderful team have the philosophy of patient-focused and compassionate comprehensive care that is gentle and empathetic. Using the most proven and high-quality materials available, we think you will be impressed by our services. In his time away from dentistry, Dr. Lorenz enjoys playing golf, hockey and mountain biking.

Dr. Allan Link is happy to be a family dentist serving patients throughout the St. Louis area. In his more than 40 years of service, he is proud of the work he has done to help thousands of patients. He has done so by providing comprehensive care including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, dentures, laser procedures, teeth whitening, and more. Whenever possible, Dr. Link uses non-invasive procedures, and he understands the links between oral and overall health.

Dr. Link was born in Normandy, MO and grew up in St. Louis, where he graduated from St. Louis Priory High School in 1973. After earning his undergraduate degree from Duke University (Go Blue Devils!), he graduated from the Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1981.

Dr. Link started the practice in 1981 in South City St. Louis. He then opened the Ballwin office in 1985 and moved the city office to its current South County location the same year. Throughout his career, he has made it a priority to stay on top of the changes in dentistry.

As part of his continuing education, he has completed a program in esthetics dentistry at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He also is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Link is a Fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics and an Invisalign Certified Provider. As a sign of the respect he has among his peers, he also has been a speaker at the national meeting of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Outside the office, Dr. Link likes to cheer on the Duke basketball team, fish, golf, and participate in scouting activities with his children. He gets sentimental about a trip he took with the scouts and his sons to Philmont, NM. He and his wife, Mary, have four children — James, Matthew, Dr. Andrew Link, and Courtney.

Dr. Andrew “Drew” Link is a native of St. Louis, MO. Like his father, Dr. Allan Link, he is a graduate of St. Louis Priory High School (2010). After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. Dr. Andrew Link completed his DDS at the University of Missouri’s Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he also mentored first-year students. At UMKC, he was heavily involved in community service having served on the leadership team of the school’s community service group. He was also an active member of a health professionals’ Bible study for four years.

Dr. Andrew Link also was excited by the opportunity to return to his hometown, where he could work with his father to provide comprehensive general dentistry for patients in and around Ballwin and St. Louis. He wants to continue the mission of The DentaLink, which is to provide high-quality dental care in a family-friendly environment.

Dr. Drew is constantly learning about new and better ways to care for his patients. He is an active member of both the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry which allow him to stay abreast with all the latest innovations in dentistry. Dr. Drew values the idea of being a lifelong learner and was recently awarded the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award, a prestigious recognition in the dental community. Dentists who achieve this distinction demonstrate a commitment to continuing education, quality patient care, and professional growth. This achievement, which is a distinction shared by only 6% of all dentists, underscores Dr. Link’s dedication to advancing his skills and knowledge, ensuring he provides the highest standard of care to his patients. The AGD Fellowship Award distinguishes Dr. Link as a leader in the field of general dentistry, committed to lifelong learning and excellence in patient care.

When he isn’t at one of our two locations, Dr. Andrew Link likes to golf, play soccer, and spend time with his wife, Maggie. They met while he was a student at Rhodes College. She is a physician who is training for pediatrics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
